The well-known Afrobeat singer, Kizz Daniel, is gearing up to fulfill a promise he made to a fan. He pledged to take the fan to his next show in the UK if Nigeria qualifies for the AFCON 2023 finals.
As the Super Eagles of Nigeria faced off against the Bafana Bafana of South Africa in a crucial football match for a spot in the finals, the fan reached out to Kizz Daniel on the X platform. In a post, the fan made a pact, asking the singer to have him attend his next show at the Ovo Arena in the UK.
“Vado if super eagle wins today , take me to your next show, ovo arena,” the fan quizzed.
Kizz Daniel acknowledged the bet by stating, “This I promise you …. X is my witness 🤞🏿.”
Nigeria secured victory over South Africa, winning 4-2 on penalties after a 1-1 draw at the end of 120 minutes.
True to his word, the singer known for “Buga,” Kizz Daniel, promptly responded just ten minutes after the match to inform the fan that his wish to attend the next show at the Ovo Arena in the UK had been granted.
“Oga where you dey, con go do your visa o 🙄🇬🇧 UK yah 😂,” he said.
The fan’s comment section has since been flooded with congratulations from Nigerians amidst the jubilation of the tense match between Nigeria and South Africa.
