“Typing this with tears of joy in my eyes” – Nigerian doctor graduates with first class in computer science

A Nigerian doctor shared his inspiring story after graduating with a first-class degree in computer science, following eight years of studying medicine.

The doctor, known on X as Chima Ihueze, took to the social networking site to share his journey after earning the degree in January.

He acknowledged that deciding to return to school after eight years of medical studies to pursue another degree was one of the toughest decisions he had to make.

Chima Ihueze excelled in his undergraduate studies, graduating with a first-class degree. He encouraged others to pursue their big dreams even if people try to dissuade them from doing so.

“Deciding to go for a BSc in Computer Science after 8 years of medical school is the toughest decision I’ve had to make in my entire existence.

You won’t believe the battles I had to fight, the people I had to offend to chase this dream. Typing this with tears of joy in my eyes cos I made a first class!! I f.uc.king made first class!!😭

To anyone out there who has been told that their dreams are impossible or that they should stick to the status quo, please believe them 🤭”
