Ifeyinwa Ezeiruaku, a young corper who was beaten by a female soldier in Calabar, Cross River state, has been sent to Lagos. On Friday, September 24, she flew from Calabar to Lagos.
Nigerians were outraged earlier this week after a viral video depicted Lt. Chika Anele, a female soldier, abusing Ifeyinwa. She humiliated Ifeyinwa, according to accounts, since she dared to disagree with her. Anele was seen in the video scooping unclean water from a bucket with a bowl and pouring it on the corps member who was on her knees. She was also observed hitting the corper’s head with the back of the bowl.
