Nigerian singer, rapper, and songwriter, Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has publicly criticized President Bola Tinubu for the prevailing economic hardships.
In a video gaining traction online, Portable expressed his concerns, specifically addressing the increase in the price of his show from 2.5 million to 3.5 million.
In the video, the singer voiced his frustration, attributing the rise in prices to the president’s policies, particularly the increased cost of fuel. Portable remarked that the elevated fuel prices have led people to adopt a high-cost mentality.
Citing the escalating prices of essential commodities such as fuel and Garri, Portable explained that he felt compelled to raise the price of his show by a million naira compared to the previous year. He emphasized that this decision was driven by the harsh economic realities facing the country.
