Popular Nollywood actor Alexx Ekubo and BBNaija winner Ilebaye joined the viral dance challenge “Gwo Gwo Gwo Ngwo,” creating a hilarious aftermath that sent many into fits of laughter online.

The “Gwo Gwo Gwo Ngwo” dance challenge was initially popularized by comedian Brain Jotter, sparking a resurgence of the 41-year-old track. Celebrities and content creators worldwide have since participated in the challenge, adding their own unique twists.

Among them, Alexx Ekubo and Ilebaye hopped on the challenge. However, their attempt took an unexpected turn when Alexx Ekubo accused Ilebaye of disrespecting him. During the challenge, 23-year-old Ilebaye followed the rules by attempting to slap 38-year-old Alexx Ekubo as part of the playful routine.

When Ilebaye tried to pursue Alexx Ekubo, he did not find it funny and reacted strongly, expressing his displeasure. Recognizing the shift in the actor’s mood, Ilebaye quickly apologized, referring to him as “Gen Z paper,” a term meant to show respect.

Despite the apology, Alexx Ekubo was not satisfied. He brought out a cane and told Ilebaye to perform a frog jump as a form of punishment. The reality TV star complied but maintained her playful spirit by eventually running away when Alexx Ekubo attempted to flog her.

The entire episode, blending humor and the dynamics of generational differences, entertained many online, showcasing the playful yet sometimes serious undertones of the viral dance challenge.

Ilebaye via the comment section responded; “Genz Baddie can’t play with Genz Grandpa in peace again !!!!😹🫣.”
