Wizkid, whose real name is Ayodeji Balogun, was signed to EME in 2009. Under Banky W’s mentorship, he released his debut album, Superstar, in 2011. The album was a massive success, featuring hit tracks like “Holla at Your Boy” and “Pakurumo.”

Despite his success, Wizkid revealed that his exit from EME was not a smooth one. In the interview, he said, “I was Wizkid, I had to leave EME record label with Zero Naira. Everybody knows the story.”
