Nigerian music sensation Wizkid has been left red-faced after old tweets of him begging for Don Jazzy’s 50k giveaway resurfaced online.
The Grammy-winning artist, who was already making waves in the music industry in 2016, had participated in Don Jazzy’s social media giveaway, where the Mavin Records founder was offering N50,000 to lucky fans.
Wizkid’s eagerness to win the prize was evident in his tweets, where he even responded to a user who promised to send him N100K, jokingly noting that it could cover a few days’ worth of diesel.
However, it appears that Wizkid has since tried to distance himself from his humble beginnings, as the old tweets have been deleted from his account.
