Wizkid is making history again! His hit song “One Dance” featuring Drake and Kyla has entered the Guinness World Records after reaching 1 billion streams on Spotify. This makes it the first track to achieve this milestone on the platform.
The song, released in 2016, was a worldwide hit and broke multiple records. Guinness announced the achievement on their official Twitter page, stating that “One Dance” was the first song to reach 1 billion streams on Spotify.
This is not Wizkid’s first record-breaking achievement. He has previously broken multiple records, including being the first African artist to sell out the O2 Arena in London, and the first Nigerian artist to win an ASCAP award.
Fans are celebrating Wizkid’s achievement on social media, with many praising his talent and contribution to African music.
