Why we didn’t put Bobrisky in the general cell – Deputy controller of Kirikiri Prison finally spills (Video)

Deputy controller of Kirikiri Prison finally spills

In a recent development, Michael Anugwa, the Deputy Controller of Kirikiri Prison, defended the decision to separate Nigerian internet personality and crossdresser Bobrisky from the general prison population, citing concerns for his safety due to his feminine appearance.

Anugwa explained that placing Bobrisky in the male population, which includes violent criminals and sexual offenders, could have exposed him to severe risks such as rape or even death.

Given the presence of hardened convicts with a history of sexual aggression, prison officials prioritized Bobrisky’s safety by housing him in a special holding area. Anugwa emphasized that failing to take these precautions would have resulted in public backlash for endangering the crossdresser.

The statement came during a session held today, Monday, September 30th, 2024, in the House of Representatives, where Verydarkman, Bobrisky, officials from the EFCC, and the Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS) were summoned. The session followed Verydarkman’s earlier accusations that the EFCC accepted a N15 million bribe from Bobrisky to drop money laundering charges, and that the NCoS provided Bobrisky with special privileges, including a separate apartment, instead of requiring him to serve his sentence in the general prison population.

Anugwa clarified that these actions were taken solely to protect Bobrisky from potential harm and maintain order in the prison.
