The news gained attention on the X platform as Safiyyah shared videos of her weekend wedding with Ruffy.
While the exact reason for Kawthar and Ruffy’s divorce remains unconfirmed, there are suggestions that it might be linked to Kawthar adopting feminist beliefs after their marriage.
In 2020, Sir Ruffy had married Kawthar, and Safiyyah had congratulated them on social media. Three years later, Ruffy divorced Kawthar and married Safiyyah within six months.
The newlyweds shared photos and videos from their wedding on X. Safiyyah expressed her gratitude and hopes for an easy journey in her marriage. Ruffy, in response, shared his excitement about marrying the woman he considers the most gorgeous in the universe.

Notably, Ruffy deleted his 2020 post announcing his wedding to Kawthar and reposted a message by Gimbiya Kakanda discussing a person’s right to end a marriage and start anew with someone else.
