Verydarkman sent back to Kuje prison shortly after he was released, reasons surface online

Controversial social media activist Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as Verydarkman (VDM), has been returned to Kuje prison in Abuja despite being granted bail by the court on Monday, June 10th.

A video shared by VDM’s friend, Itskokopee, revealed that Verydarkman was held back in prison because he was captured on camera by some individuals during the court proceeding. The activist had already spent three weeks in prison after being arraigned for cyberstalking.

Videos captured the moment he stood in the witness box to address his charges, which ultimately led to his return to prison. According to Itskokopee, the judge had previously warned that nobody should record VDM while he was in court. However, a video showing his freedom went viral online, leading to his continued detention.

The situation highlights the sensitivity and legal complexities surrounding court proceedings and the enforcement of rules within the judicial system.
