Big Brother Naija reality star Uriel Oputa has taken to social media to appeal to Grammy-winning singer Burna Boy for assistance in fulfilling her mother’s promise to buy her a house on Banana Island.
Uriel’s request comes on the heels of Burna Boy’s recent gesture of kindness towards Cubana Chief Priest’s alleged baby mama and brother. The singer had offered to help the woman, who had been struggling with homelessness, by relocating her to Nigeria, providing shelter, education, and employment for her and her son.
Uriel Oputa who is clearly inspired by Burna Boy’s philanthropic efforts, shared a heartfelt message on her Instagram story, revealing that her mother had promised to buy her a house on Banana Island when she was just five years old. However, due to her mother’s struggles with dementia, she can no longer remember making that promise.
“Burna Boy is on a roll,” Uriel wrote. “Meanwhile, Mr. Burna, when I was 5, my mum promised to buy me a house in Banana Island, but as I write this, she said she can’t remember because of her dementia. Mr. Burna, are you there?”
Uriel’s plea has sparked a mix of reactions on social media, with some users praising Burna Boy’s kindness and others questioning the sincerity of Uriel’s request.
