A female student from Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK) in Awka, Anambra State, has become the center of a viral controversy after a heated physical altercation with a lecturer. The incident, which took place on the university premises, has ignited a wave of reactions online and within the academic community.
The drama unfolded when the student was recording a dance video, possibly for TikTok, inside a school hall. A lecturer, needing to pass through the area, tapped her on the back to get her attention and asked her to stop recording. According to reports, the lecturer requested that the student delete the video because his face was captured in it.
However, the situation quickly escalated. In a shocking turn of events, the student allegedly bit the lecturer’s hand multiple times, tore his clothes, slapped him, and scratched his face. Despite attempts by onlookers to intervene, the student continued to lash out, leaving everyone present in disbelief.
The incident has sparked mixed reactions, with many condemning the student’s actions while others question the circumstances that led to the altercation. It has also been reported that the student’s mother is a lecturer in the Engineering department at the same institution, adding another layer of complexity to the situation.
A video of the confrontation has since gone viral, drawing widespread attention on social media.
