Grammy-Award winner Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, professionally known as Wizkid, has officially revealed the title of his highly anticipated forthcoming album.

The announcement was made via the insta-stories section of his verified Instagram page on Friday night, March 15th, 2024.

This revelation follows a viral post where the “Bad To Me” singer declared that he no longer identifies as an Afrobeats artist, advising fans of the genre not to expect his upcoming album to conform to Afrobeats conventions.

Providing further insight into the album, Wizkid disclosed that it would be named after his late mother, (Mrs) Juliana Morayo Balogun.

The loss of his mother on August 18, 2023, in London, was described by Wizkid as the most profound pain he has ever experienced, leaving a void in his life.

In his latest Instagram post, Wizkid announced that his new album would be titled “Morayo,” expressing confidence that it would surpass any of his previous works, making it his best album yet.

Wizkid added that no Nigerian blogs or media should post his forthcoming album “Morayo” when he released it then ended it by attacking the paternal figures of each media company in Nigeria by saying “Una Papa.”

Wizkid wrote; “Album name “”Morayo”” best I ever made.”
