Nigerian singer and songwriter Divine Ikubor, popularly known as Rema, has captivated his audiences with an amazing performance at the wedding of Anant Ambani, son of the richest Indian billionaire Mukesh Ambani, and his longtime girlfriend, Radhika Merchant.
Rema recently arrived in Mumbai for the $600 million Indian wedding and performed his hit song ‘Calm Down.’ His melodious voice and energetic performance had his Indian fans singing along and dancing with excitement.
Overwhelmed with joy, the crowd seemed entertained upon sighting the ‘Yayo’ crooner, shouting with excitement.
The wedding event, already making headlines for its high-profile nature, will see Rema taking home Rs 25 crore (approximately N4.85 billion or $3 million) for his performance.
The celebration also features performances by other international superstars. Canadian singer Justin Bieber reportedly received $10 million for his performance, while pop icon Rihanna also graced the stage for €5 million.
Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant are set to marry on July 12 at the Jio World Centre in Mumbai’s Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC). The couple began their wedding ceremonies in January, following Anant’s proposal to Radhika Merchant, daughter of Viren Merchant, the CEO of Encore Healthcare, in December.
Anant Ambani is the son of Mukesh Ambani, the richest man in Asia and chairman of Reliance Industries, with a net worth estimated at $124.2 billion according to Forbes. Anant, the soon-to-be husband, is expected to be the heir of the business conglomerate.
