Singer Portable loses 100K followers on Instagram hours after controversial comments on the Nationwide protest

Controversial street pop singer Habeeb Olalomi, known as Portable, has faced severe backlash and lost 100,000 Instagram followers within hours after making controversial remarks about the ongoing protest in Nigeria.

In a viral video, Portable stated that there were no protests in Sango, Ogun State, where he resides. He explained that past protests had been ignored by the government, leading him and others in his area to focus on their daily hustle instead.

Portable went further to say that those protesting are nothing but bad people and should be ended just like they are asking for #EndBadGovernance in Nigeria.

His comments did not sit well with many fans. Within 12 hours of posting the video, Portable lost 100,000 Instagram followers. A check on his page showed that his followers have reduced from 2.9 million to 2.8 million.

Fans warned they would unfollow him, and many followed through on their threats. Even more fans have pledged to unfollow the artist if he continues making such statements.
