Fast-rising singer, Odumodublvck, faces criticism after expressing disapproval of disrespect towards Pastor Adeboye, who claimed to have had tea with God.
The controversy arose from a resurfaced 2019 video where the preacher shared his experience of having tea with God during breakfast.
In response to the backlash against Pastor Adeboye, Odumodublvck condemned Nigerian youths who frequently criticize the clergyman’s speeches.
According to the singer, it is disrespectful to neglect his age and grey hair while lambasting him on social media.
In his words;
“Pastor adeboye never insulted no one on this app. You do not see Muslims come out to insult their clerics. Then later we complain that our religion is being stepped on.
Even based on age wise. Una no fit follow una papa talk the way una dey follow adeboye talk. And e senior una papa and una mama. Thats why I never rated you niggas on this app. Una double standards choke. – industry machine.”
His statement, however, triggered a wave of reactions from social media users who criticized him for blindly following the preacher’s statements they deemed as untrue.
