Famous Canadian rapper Drake is making headlines again, this time for placing a substantial bet on the much-anticipated fight between Francis Ngannou and Anthony Joshua.
The highly awaited battle between Francis Ngannou, a Cameroonian-French mixed martial artist and professional boxer, and Anthony Joshua, a British-Nigerian professional boxer, is scheduled for March 8th, 2024, at 8 PM in the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Drake, known for his hit song “One Dance” and his penchant for betting, has placed a stake of $615,000, approximately N1 billion, on Francis Ngannou to emerge victorious against Anthony Joshua. If Ngannou indeed wins the fight, Drake stands to win $1,906,500, approximately N3 billion, from his bet.
