Nigerian singer Portable has sent a strong warning to his fans, telling them to stop comparing him to fellow artist Asake. In a video posted on Instagram, Portable claimed that he doesn’t resemble Asake, but rather looks like American rapper Lil Wayne.
Portable’s outburst comes after Asake recently debuted new face tattoos, sparking comparisons between the two artists. However, Portable is adamant that he is the original and that Asake is simply copying his style.
“Stop comparing me to Asake, I don’t look like him, I resemble Lil Wayne,” Portable said in the video. “Stop comparing me with all those overrated artistes. They are copycats, copying my style and doings.”
