Nigerian singer Portable has broken his silence, vehemently denying recent allegations that he and his associates attacked Ogun State officials at his bar.
In a video statement, Portable claimed he was asleep when the officials arrived at his residence and bar, ordering everyone to leave. He maintained that he did not engage in any physical altercation and was being falsely accused.
Portable explained that the officials had visited an academy he supports, which provides training for young people in various skills, including music, tailoring, carpentry, and bricklaying.
The singer alleged that the officials destroyed his bar, seized his properties, injured his apprentices, and beat his customers before sending them home. Portable swore to God that he did not fight anyone and challenged his accusers to provide proof of their claims.
“I didn’t fight anybody. They’re just trying to set me up. I am from a poor family yet i’ve helped a lot of people. Artistes, bricklayers, tailors and many other people live with me”
