Portable, the controversial Nigerian singer, has been granted a ₦2 million bail by the Isabo Magistrate Court in Abeokuta, Ogun State. He was arraigned on a five-count charge, including conspiracy, assault, and restriction, after allegedly attacking town planning officers at his bar, Odogwu Bar.
Portable, along with his nine associates, pleaded not guilty to the charges. His lawyer, Oluwatoyin Ayodele, appealed for bail, stating that Portable is now remorseful and has learned his lesson. The magistrate, O.L. Oke, granted the bail with one surety in the same sum and adjourned the case until March 5, 2025, for trial.
This development comes after him turned himself in at the Lagos State Criminal Investigation Department in Yaba, following a declaration by the Ogun State Police Command that he was wanted.
