Over 100,000 of Nigerians sign petition to ban Naira marley's record label 'Marlian records'

About 50,000 people have signed a petition to ban the record label, Naira Marley, Marlian Music Records after the death of Mohbad.

This petition comes after the passing of former Marlian Music signee Ilerioluwa Olademeji Aloba, also known as Mohbad, who died barely a year after his controversial split from the Naira Marley-owned record label.

The artist claimed that Naira Marley, the head of the record label, and his men had threatened to kill him while he was still alive.

Recall that on Tuesday, September 10, 2023, Mohbad’s death was officially confirmed. His cause of death is still a mystery.

On Thursday, the police announced that they had begun an investigation into Mohbad’s passing.

Angry followers are launching a petition to ban the late singer’s former record company, Marlian Records. The petition has garnered over 50,000 signatures as of the time of filing this report.
