Renowned Nollywood actress and movie producer Funke Akindele has weighed in on the ongoing feud between popular hypeman Adesina Taiwo, also known as God Over Everything (GOE), and his protégé, Barber Chair.
In a viral video, fast-rising singer Barber Chair, whose real name is Muiz, announced that he is no longer interested in working with GOE and has changed his name from God over Junior. This revelation caused significant distress for GOE, who took to social media to express his frustration, lamenting that he had invested millions in Barber Chair only for him to want to leave.
Responding to the situation, Funke Akindele advised Barber Chair to remain calm and avoid making a rash decision to leave his mentor. The mother of two emphasized that there is nothing worthwhile out on the streets and encouraged Barber Chair to stay with his boss and endure the training he was receiving.
During a live session that included the warring parties and other participants, Funke Akindele suggested that GOE should discipline Barber Chair but should not be too strict with him. She also advised GOE to allow his protégé to leave if he insisted on returning to the streets, and noted that GOE should not force Barber Chair to go to school.
