The Nigerian film industry has been thrown into mourning with the passing of veteran nollywood actor, Columbus Irosanga. The news of his demise was announced by actress Hilda Dokubo on her Instagram page.
Hilda Dokubo wrote, “There can’t be a shortage of Angels in heaven that the few here are called home like this! This one is heavy on Uniport Rivers State Nollywood.” She added, “Our uncle Coli @colu_mbusirisoanga has gone to be with the lord.”
Columbus Irosanga was a renowned actor, television personality, and senior lecturer at the University of Port Harcourt’s Department of Theatre Arts. He was known for his iconic roles in films like “Issakaba” (2003) and “7 Kilometre” (2015).
Throughout his illustrious career, Irosanga received numerous awards, including Best Actor in a Supporting Role (AMAA), Best Actor in a Drama (City Peoples Entertainment Awards), and Best Actor in a Leading Role (Best of Nollywood Awards).
