Big Brother Naija alumna, Venita Akpofure, has advised women not to consider getting married before the age of 28.
In a recent interview with BBNaija’s Tacha, the mother of two daughters encouraged women to delay the idea of settling down and instead focus on enjoying life.
Venita, who recently clarified her relationship status with her colleague Adekunle, emphasized the importance of women getting committed only when they feel ready after exploring a luxurious lifestyle.
The 37-year-old reality star expressed the view that getting married at the age of 28 is too early and immature. She suggested that women should take their time to explore life and make decisions about marriage when they genuinely feel ready for such commitments.
In her words, “Don’t marry young o! Don’t go and do ‘I’m doing high school sweetheart. We die here.’ Just be young! Enjoy your life. When you’re tired, get married.”
“If my daughter approaches me, as long as she’s not, I swear to God, not up to 28, we can rock with it. Anything below 28, please no.”
“Don’t get me wrong, there are people who are mature, oh. But you need to try different things in life, different experiences, to be sure of okay, I want to be stuck here. Because it’s handcuff, you’re there”.
