Veteran Nollywood actor Emeka Ike has shared a harrowing account of his experiences with his ex-wife and the mother of his four children, Suzanne Emma.

In a recent interview on Channels TV’s “Rubbin Minds,” Emeka disclosed the false accusations of assault made against him by his ex-wife, resulting in the loss of access to his children and the forfeiture of properties worth over N480 million.

The collapse of their 12-year marriage in 2015, initiated by his ex-wife citing consistent physical and emotional abuse, had a profound impact on Emeka’s life and career. Following the divorce, Emeka faced numerous challenges that led to a temporary withdrawal from the Nollywood scene. Despite these adversities, he has since remarried, entering into a new union with South African model Yolanda.

Emeka Ike’s return to the spotlight includes a notable appearance in colleague Toyin Abraham’s cinematic movie, ‘Malaika,’ premiered on Sunday, December 17. However, during the recent interview, Emeka revisited the traumatic events of his past, recounting the shock of returning from a work trip abroad to find his home deserted and his multimillion-Naira school forcibly closed. He confronted his ex-wife about the allegations, but she denied any involvement, unaware that she was the source of the damaging reports.

Acknowledging the toll the marriage troubles took on his mental health, Emeka spoke about his severe depression, which led him to withdraw from public life due to shame and embarrassment. Despite his desire to address the situation online, he expressed concerns about potential misinterpretation by those who had previously harassed him on social media.

Emeka Ike’s revelation has sparked a wave of reactions on social media, with some offering support while others criticized him for his alleged lies.
