Nigerian chef Adebayo Ayodeji Temitope professionally known as Tope Maggie who hails from Ogbomosho Oyo State is one of the trending conversations online as he completes 200hrs of cooking as a single individual.
Tope Maggie seeks to reclaim the Guinness World Record for Nigeria from Ireland’s Chef Alan Fisher as he Completes 200Hrs Cook-A-Thon.
Recall Intel Region reported that Irish chef Alan Fisher dethrones Hilda Baci as he breaks Guinness World Records with 119 hours of cooking. Note that Hilda Baci who hails from Akwa Ibom State cooked for 93 hours 11 minutes.
Chef Tope Maggie started his 200hrs cooking marathon on Thursday, 9 November 2023, at 6:31 p.m. and ended earlier on Saturday, 18 November 2023, at 2.31 a.m.
A video making the rounds online shows the moment people come out in huge numbers to celebrate chef Tope Maggie following his late feat as he set to break the Guinness World Record.
The video also shows the moment people walk Chef Tope Maggie into an ambulance vehicle that took him off.
The 200hrs Cook-A-Thon by Chef Tope Maggie will undergo a final verification by the Guinness World Record before his name enters the Guinness World Record holder book.
Confirming the completion of the 200 hours cooking by chef Tope Maggi, the Oyo state Government via its page on the X platform formerly called Twitter wrote;
“We join the good people of Ogbomoso and, indeed, Oyo State to congratulate Prince Adebayo Ayodeji Temitope @cheftopemaggie on completing his 200-hour Cookathon. He started cooking on Thursday, 9 November 2023, at 6:31 p.m. and ended earlier today, Saturday, 18 November 2023, at 2.31 a.m. We look forward to the final verification and award of the new world record by the Guinness World Record @GWR team.”
