Popular Nigerian rapper Odumodublvck has taken issue with his senior colleague Eedris Abdulkareem’s claim that he paved the way for artists like Wizkid, Davido, and Burna Boy in the Nigerian music industry.

Abdulkareem asserted on the Honest Bunch podcast that his rebellion in 2004 against mistreatment by show promoters paved the way for the success of younger talents.

In response, Odumodublvck posted on his official page on X, urging Abdulkareem to keep quiet. He insisted that none of the senior colleagues paved the way for Wizkid and Burna Boy, as each artist hustled to reach their current positions. Odumodublvck emphasized that individual artists face their struggles and realities. While acknowledging that Abdulkareem may have inspired younger artists, he concluded that it is ultimately God who paves the way for success in the music industry.

He wrote; “EVERYBODY DEY CLAIM PAVE THE WAY. EVERYBODY TRYNNA CLAIM GODS GLORY NONE OF YOU NIGGAS PAVED THE WAY FOR NO ONE. NOBODY PAVED THE WAY FOR WIZKID OR BURNA. NOBODY THEY HUSTLED. ALL OF US GET OUR INDIVIDUAL STRUGGLES AND REALITY. INSPIRED? YES. PAVED THE WAY? THATS GOD. NO HUMAN BEING IN THE HISTORY OF MUSIC HAS PAVED THE WAY FOR ODUMODUBLVCK. THATS GOD. SO TOMORROW MAKE NO OG CON DEY TALK SAY E PAVE WAY FOR ME,CAUSE BROS. YOU WERE NOT THERE WHEN I WAS IN THE DENGI SO KEEP QUIET SIR.”

Odumoblvck also shared a throwback video of him in 2019 disclosing that nobody should attack Burna Boy for saying he paved the way for himself.

He wrote; “POSTED THIS IN 2019. NOBODY DEY PAVE WAY FOR ANYBODY. NA GOD WORK BE THAT. – INDUSTRY MACHINE.”
