Fuji musician King Wasiu Ayinde Marshal, known as K1 De Ultimate, has sparked controversy after making a comment about Alfas (Islamic clerics) during his late mother’s Fidau prayer.
In a video clip, K1 De Ultimate referred to some Alfas as “Ganusi,” implying they attend events for food. This phrase ignited debates online, with many finding it offensive.
During the Fidau prayer, Sheikh Faruq Onikijipa addressed K1’s statement, offering corrections and criticisms, and politely asked K1 to apologize to the Alfas. However, K1 De Ultimate refused to issue an apology, instead ordering Sheikh Onikijipa to continue with the prayer.
The incident has sparked heated debates on social media, with some reactions including:

(For whoever obeys Allah and His Messenger, and fears Allah and is mindful of Him, then it is they who will ˹truly˺ triumph. “Surah Noor verse 52″) Verily the word of Allah is true!”
