Anant Ambani, the son of India’s richest man, marked his wedding with a grand gesture by gifting his friends limited edition Rose Gold Audemars Piguet watches worth $200,000 (N320 million) each.
Ambani, 29, tied the knot with Radhika Merchant, the daughter of wealthy pharmaceutical tycoons Viren and Shaila Merchant, on Friday, July 12th, in a $600 million lavish, star-studded wedding. The opulent event featured numerous extravagant elements, showcasing the Ambani family’s renowned wealth and generosity.
During the ceremony, Anant Ambani’s friends were delighted to receive the exclusive Rose Gold Audemars Piguet watches, each valued at $200,000 (N320 million), as a token to celebrate his union with Radhika.
Anant himself wore a Grandmaster Chime 5175 ‘175th anniversary’ wristwatch, valued at an astonishing $50 million, on his wedding day. The pre-wedding celebrations were equally extravagant, with pop sensation Justin Bieber earning $10 million for a brief performance. Rihanna also received a hefty payment of around $6.3 million for her performance at the event.
Adding to the star-studded lineup, popular Nigerian singer Rema, known for his hit song “Calm Down,” was paid $3 million to perform at the wedding, further highlighting the grandeur and international appeal of the occasion.
