Grammy-Award-winning Nigerian singer Temilade Openiyi, popularly known as Tems, has sparked conversations online with a recent revelation about her past.
On her verified Twitter account, Tems shared that she used to work a 9-5 job in Lagos, Nigeria, before gaining prominence as an artist.
This discussion arose after a Twitter user, @chinesegon, made a mocking comment about those who leave their 9-5 jobs to pursue their passions.
In response, Tems posted photos of herself and a colleague at her former office, using her own experience as an example. She expressed that leaving a traditional job to pursue one’s passion can be successful if one wholeheartedly trusts in God.
Tems wrote; “It only works if you trust God wholeheartedly. #BORNINTHEWILD🌍✨.”
The pictures shared by Tems shows that she is working at an international company called JMG Limited based in Lagos, Nigeria and it was in 2017.
Recall that Tems broke into the Nigerian music scene following the release of her hit song dubbed “Try Me” in the year 2018.
