Nigerian musician Damini Ogulu Ebunoluwa, known as Burna Boy, has once again taken aim at fellow artist Brymo in his latest song.
Burna Boy’s lyrics in his recent freestyle with his band Outsiders included a pointed reference to Brymo, with lines like “I’m a son of gangster while you’re son of a carpenter.” This statement sparked discussions among fans and critics, who analyzed the implied message.
Speculation arose that Burna Boy’s lyrics were directed at Brymo due to their ongoing feud, which originated from Brymo’s accusations of song theft against Burna Boy. Brymo claimed that Burna Boy’s tracks “City Boys” and “I Told Them” sampled the title track of Brymo’s upcoming album, “Macabre.”
This dispute led to Burna Boy releasing a freestyle video where he advised fans to work hard to avoid setbacks like Brymo. The feud between them caused a stir on social media.
Despite the controversy, Burna Boy did not retract his statements and continued to criticize Brymo in his music lyrics, maintaining the tension between them.
