A Nigerian man has gone viral on social media after sharing an emotional story about how his wife left him for a foreigner shortly after he brought her to Europe.
In the trending video on X (formerly Twitter), the man, visibly heartbroken, recounted how he had spent a significant amount of money processing his wife’s visa and other related expenses, only for her to abandon him for another man.
In his tearful message, he urged other men not to make the same mistake, advising them to marry women who are already living abroad rather than bringing wives from Nigeria. He emphasized that many women from Nigeria, according to his experience, view marriage as an escape from poverty, without the intention of staying committed to their husbands.
He pleaded with men to heed his warning, saying:
“Men in Europe, I beg you, find a woman there. Find an African woman abroad and marry her. If you go to Nigeria to marry and bring her abroad, many of these women don’t have the intention to stay with you. They just want to escape from poverty.”
The full video, which accompanies the article, captures his deeply emotional plea, and has garnered significant attention, with many individuals flooding the comment section to share their thoughts and express their concern for his situation.
