A Nigerian lady shared her experience of being fired from her job in the UK after repeatedly apologizing to her employer for an offense.
In a TikTok video, @deeglam_varieties explained that she worked a night shift and spent her time in the office lounge using her phone to stay awake. However, her employer accused her of sleeping on the job the next day, which surprised her. Instead of explaining the situation truthfully to her supervisor, @deeglam_varieties kept apologizing and eventually went home.
To her surprise, she received an email later that day informing her of her termination from the job. This experience served as a cultural shock for her, and she advised Nigerians traveling overseas to be mindful of cultural differences, especially regarding attitudes like repeatedly saying sorry.
