Nigerian superstar David Adeleke, known as Davido, has sparked discussions online with his recent comments about his wife, Chioma Rowland.
In a French show called The Bridge, Davido, who is the son of a billionaire businessman, shared that he knew Chioma before he became wealthy.
During the show, Davido talked about his marriage and why he chose to marry Chioma. He expressed gratitude for her support during his toughest times, stating that he couldn’t imagine being with anyone else.
Davido revealed that he met Chioma and they started dating before he gained fame and wealth. He mentioned that meeting Chioma before his success made it easier for him to settle down, as fame and wealth could have made it challenging to find a genuine connection with someone else.
In a related context, Chioma had previously shared how she met Davido at Babcock University in 2013, although they started their romantic relationship quietly in 2015 after being friends for a while.
In his words, “I met my wife before I had money and I was saying to myself if I didn’t meet her and now, I was single, It’s not going to be the same”
“Yeah it’s cool, all these people you see around me were there when I had nothing….I want the kind of people that see me as nothing and now they see me as something”.
