Nollywood actress and filmmaker Yvonne Jegede is deeply mourning the loss of one of her children to cholera.
The news came as a shock to her fans and followers, who have seen her dedicated efforts as both an actor and producer.
In an emotional Instagram post, Jegede shared that she has been independently supporting the education of her three children. Tragically, one of them, Olamide, who was in Primary 4 and set to start JS3 after the summer break, has passed away from cholera.
Jegede reflected on her time with Olamide, expressing her grief over the loss of the child she had known since his early school years. Despite the heartache, she found solace in celebrating the recent graduation of two other children from secondary school, one of whom is Olamide’s sister.
She poignantly remarked that while she may not possess all the wealth in the world, these milestones in her children’s lives bring her a sense of fulfillment.
Yvonne Jegede stated that she hasn’t known how she has done it since 2019, but God has provided enough to see them through. She wrote:
“I’m heartbroken because I lost one of my children to cholera. Olamide and I met when he was in primary 4 and was supposed to go to JSS3 after this summer break. The news broke my heart. I am also happy 2 of my children graduated yesterday from secondary school, and one of them is Olamide’s sister. I don’t have all the money in the world, but this makes my world complete. Since 2019 till date, I don’t know how I do it, but my God provides enough to carry them through.
Rest In Power Olamide Ajimuda.
