Grammy Award-winning artist Temilade Openiyi, professionally known as Tems, recently addressed the rumors surrounding her pregnancy, particularly in relation to American rapper Future.
In September 2023, Tems, known for her hit “U & Me,” became a focal point of online discussions due to speculations about her alleged pregnancy, sparked by her apparent protruded belly at the Burberry Fashion show in London.
There were reports suggesting that Future might be the father of Tems’ supposed child, especially after she won her first Grammy Award for the song “Wait for You,” a collaboration with Future and Drake.
Tems, however, dismissed the pregnancy rumors, explaining that her seemingly expanded belly was a result of indulging in a hearty meal on that particular day.
During a recent interview with the Beat 99.9FM upon her return to Lagos, Tems reiterated her stance, revealing that she was unaware the pregnancy rumor had gained traction until she started receiving death threats. She emphasized that she has never met Future in her life and questioned why, out of all people in the world, she would supposedly get pregnant by the rapper.
Tems said; ““Of all the people in the world, Future? I’ve never even met him in my life.”
