In a recent announcement, renowned Nigerian Chef Hilda Baci made it clear that she isn’t looking for a man who possesses culinary skills.
The Guinness World Record holder, originally from Akwa Ibom State, shared this sentiment during a recent episode of the audiovisual podcast “Cocktails and Takeaways,” hosted by Madam Joyce.
Chef Hilda Baci emphasized that she doesn’t desire a man with cooking abilities because cooking is her personal passion. She expressed that preparing meals is not just a skill for her but a way of demonstrating love, particularly for someone she deeply cares about, especially her significant other.
Reiterating her stance, Chef Hilda Baci, who gained attention after her visit to the UK, mentioned that her friends are accustomed to her habit of sending them food. She went on to explain that, rather than having a man cook for her, she prefers him to order food.
Chef Hilda Baci humorously remarked that her ideal man could wake her up at midnight asking for a snack, and she would enthusiastically head to the kitchen to prepare it for him.
In her own words, “I don’t want a man that knows how to cook; I don’t want it. I like cooking so much. My friends would tell you, like how Hilda would show you love—she will send you food, she would cook for you. That is one of the things I like to do for people I care about, especially for my man. You can wake me up in the middle of the night and say, ‘babe, I want a doughnut, I want meat pie,’ and I’m flying to the kitchen to make it for you. That is my thing. For me, I want a man that can order me food. If you don’t have a problem ordering me food, I’m in love with you.”
