Veteran Nollywood actor Ibrahim Chatta has shared the surprising story behind how he funded his N1.4 billion film village in Oyo State.
In a recent video that has garnered public attention, Chatta revealed that he financed the entire project on his own, without relying on loans or grants. He disclosed that the substantial funds came from an unexpected source during the COVID-19 lockdown.
According to Chatta, during the lockdown, he teamed up with fellow actor Tayo Sobola to offer personalized shout-outs to fans. Each shout-out earned him around N300,000, and the high demand for these personalized messages helped him accumulate significant funds.
Before embarking on the film village project, Chatta admitted that he had no savings and was struggling to complete several unfinished property projects. He described how he had been praying for funds to finish a property that had been stalled at the lintel stage.
Chatta credited his financial breakthrough to divine intervention, expressing deep gratitude to God for the timely support that enabled him to bring his film village to life.
