Controversial singer Naira Marley took to Instagram to address his haters and express gratitude to God. Following the backlash he faced after the death of his former signee, Mohbad, Naira Marley remains defiant.
In his post, he wrote: “Alhamdulilahi always. Allahu Akbar Allah is the greatest. They tried their best and they failed miserably.”
He went on to advise his fans, “Don’t leave God. If you’re still following small, powerless gods, you’re doomed.”
Naira Marley also added a Yoruba phrase, “E gbe Olorun tobi” (Meaning: “Leave God’s matter alone”), and “I didn’t eat gbi, so I can’t die gbi” (a Nigerian slang expression meaning “I didn’t indulge in evil, so I won’t suffer evil consequences”).
His message conveyed a sense of triumph over adversity and a testament to his faith in God.
The singer concluded, “I’ve said my piece. If you like, say it’s amugbo (madness)Â talking.”
