A Nigerian man, identified as Ade, who survived the Ibadan explosion, has shared a poignant before-and-after account of the incident, expressing gratitude to God for his safety.
The massive explosion that occurred on Tuesday night, January 16, led to the collapse of numerous buildings in Ibadan, Oyo state, affecting many areas and causing casualties and injuries.
In Ade’s post on his X page with the handle @Shurley_banks, he shared a two-slide transformation. The before picture shows him sitting neatly in his car, wearing a sunshade over his eyes. The after photo, which has gained viral attention since the incident, depicts Ade in a state of fear and anxiety, with his face covered in dust. The stark contrast between the two images highlights the impact and intensity of the explosion, underscoring the importance of gratitude for his survival.
Narrating his experience, he wrote, “I Escaped!!! I still don’t even know what’s happening here in ibadan but we are safe 🙏 All we heard was a massive blast”.
In his follow-up post, he furthered, “Same person Different scenarios God did!”
