A fan who was infamously kicked by Burna Boy after running onto the stage during a performance has spoken out about the incident. In a viral video, the fan explained that he had no malicious intent and was instead motivated by admiration for the singer and a desire to connect with him.
The fan, who is also an aspiring musician, revealed that he stormed the stage for two reasons: to express his admiration for Burna Boy and to get noticed by the Grammy-winning singer in hopes of performing at the show.
“I wanted Burna Boy to embrace me, I didn’t intend to harm him but I don’t blame him though, he’s the only one that knows what he was thinking at that moment.”

Although he felt deeply embarrassed by the incident, the fan expressed understanding for Burna Boy’s reaction, acknowledging that the singer might have acted out of caution. He emphasized that he holds no grudge against Burna Boy and considers himself one of the singer’s biggest fans.
In his words: “I see my videos flying around about what happened between me and Burna Boy on stage. I didn’t mean to harm him; I just wanted to, you know, as a fan, embrace him. I didn’t know it would turn out that way.”
“For those saying I wanted to harm him, that’s not true. I’m also a musician, and I just wanted to use the opportunity to ask for a chance to perform on his stage that day.”
“I’ve been attending Burna Boy’s shows for a very long time. I’m one of his biggest fans, so that’s what happened. I feel so embarrassed, but I don’t blame him because only he knows what was on his mind at that moment.”
We could all see he meant no harm! In fact he was already going down to touch his legs and not even for chains as people were saying. pic.twitter.com/XQtZsE44kU

It’s crazy how you can comport yourself outside the country but can’t do same in your homeland.”
