Superstar Afrobeats singer David Adeleke, professionally known as Davido, is in the news again following a generous display that saw him and his team making Naira rain on fans in Lagos.
Davido, the “Unavailable” hitmaker, arrived in Nigeria last night, July 13th, 2024. A video showing Davido and his team cruising the streets of Lagos in their expensive automobiles quickly went viral online.
Recall that singer Davido had his superlative wedding with his beautiful wife, Chioma, on June 25th, 2024. The event, which took over social media, was graced by some of the biggest names in the country.
After the wedding, the singer and his wife flew to the USA for their honeymoon. They later traveled to Italy for some fun, where Davido was seen performing at the 60th birthday celebration of former GT Bank CEO Segun Agbaje.
However, in a new clip, Davido was seen last night seated on top of his car door, recording videos while he and his team enjoyed themselves with fans on the streets of Lagos.
Moments later, Naira notes were seen raining down on fans, who eagerly took to the ground to collect as much as possible. This action, while exciting for the fans, constitutes a breach of EFCC rules on naira abuse.
