A Nigerian doctor has shared an incredible story of delivering a baby weighing 3.5kg inside a tricycle, commonly known as a Keke Napep. The unexpected birth took place in the cramped vehicle, and the doctor’s clothes were left stained with blood and liquor.
The doctor recounted the dramatic event on his X (formerly Twitter) page, saying, “I just delivered a 3.5kg baby in a Keke Napep, along with the placenta. Now my fine shirt is stained with liquor and blood.”
He explained that the mother had lost a significant amount of blood and was too weak to move, with the baby’s head already descended. Despite the challenging conditions, the doctor successfully delivered the baby.
