Nigerian rapper Ikechukwu recently stirred curiosity as he revealed undisclosed details from his time at Mo’Hits Records.
During an Instagram live session with media personality Daddy Freeze, Ikechukwu disclosed that, during the Mo’Hits era, no decisions could be made without the involvement of D’banj’s mother.
Expanding on the matter, Ikechukwu claimed that from shows where he was paid between N1.5M to N2M, D’banj would pay him only N50K. He went on to describe his role as akin to being a bodyguard for D’banj, defending him against attacks from fans or outsiders.
Continuing, Ikechukwu mentioned that after persistent efforts and numerous fights for an increase, his salary was eventually raised to N150K, with the approval of the singer’s mother.
