Nigerian singer David Adeleke’s babymama, Sophia Momodu, has finally responded to his legal case against her.
Recently, it was reported that the DMW boss sued his babymama for custody of their daughter, Imade Aurora Adeleke.
With just a few days to Davido and Chioma’s wedding, Sophia issued a press statement in which she divulged extremely nasty facts while telling her side of the story.
“After I stopped sleeping with Davido, he stopped providing for Imade,” Sophia began in the press conference, providing background information about her connection with Davido. She stated that they were together from 2014 to 2017, and again from 2020 to 2022. According to her, the singer financially supported her and Imade while they were together.
Sophia went on to add that she ended her relationship with Davido in July 2022, and since then, he has vowed to make her life miserable if she does not sleep with him. She claimed that OBO chose not to visit their daughter, Imade, despite her never refusing him the chance.
According to Sophia, Davido never contacted Imade on major occasions such as her birthday or Christmas, but instead made postings online to represent himself as a caring and supportive dad.
In her press statement, Sophia also detailed how Davido had not fulfilled his financial responsibilities to Imade, including not paying her school fees despite the school reaching out to him on different occasions. It was revealed that at a point, the singer’s billionaire father, Adedeji Adeleke, had to step in and pay the fees.
Sophia’s response has added a new dimension to the ongoing legal battle, revealing a strained and complicated relationship between the two parents, and highlighting the challenges they face in co-parenting their daughter.
