Nigerian music producer Samklef has shared his thoughts on why Davido receives disrespect in the industry.
Samklef’s comments came after YouTuber Korty EO called out Davido for reneging on an agreement. Skit maker Nasty Blaq defended Davido, saying he helps people yet faces disrespect.
Samklef disagreed, stating Olamide has helped more people without facing disrespect. He claimed Davido’s behavior, helping based on expectations and control, and playing the victim, contributes to the disrespect.
“Davido helps people based on expectations and control. He loves to play the victim,” Samklef tweeted.
Samklef also took a swipe at Davido, comparing him to Wizkid. “Wizkid helps people without shouting. None of Davido’s artists can stand with Tems.”
Davido’s cousin, Adenike, responded, “People take those who are accessible for granted. When you show too much love, they play you as weak.”
