Seun Kuti, Afrobeat singer and son of the legendary Fela Kuti, has shared his frustration over not being invited to Davido’s lavish wedding to Chioma Rowland in June 2024.
The wedding, which attracted numerous celebrities, dignitaries, and prominent figures, left Seun feeling excluded.
In a recent episode of Curiosity Made Me Ask, a show hosted by content creator Bae U Barbie, Seun expressed his disappointment, admitting that he couldn’t sleep for a week after realizing he wasn’t on the guest list. What made it even more painful for him was his past relationship with Davido and his team, who used to frequent his family’s iconic venue, the Shrine, to drink beer without paying.
Seun’s candid reflection reveals the personal impact of the exclusion, highlighting the deep connections and expectations that often accompany celebrity relationships.
In his words, “Davido would come to the African Shrine with 100 guys, and he would drink without paying, but when it was time for his wedding, I didn’t get IV. I was pained, I didn’t sleep for one week.”
