Nigerian singer 2Baba has fired back at critics who slammed him for announcing his separation from wife Annie Idibia on social media.
On Sunday, January 26, 2025, 2Baba revealed that his 13-year marriage to Annie had ended. However, many fans and celebrities, including Toke Makinwa, Tiwa Savage, and Iyabo Ojo, expressed disappointment and shock at the news.
In a recent Facebook post, 2Baba hit back at his critics, claiming that Annie was more interested in her reality shows than their family. He also stated that he had been suffering from kidney failure and was often alone in the hospital.
2Baba wrote: “HYP0CRITES! All these years I was suffering from kidney failure, where were you? My wife was more interested in her reality shows. Most times, I was alone in the hospital.”
He also tackled critics who called him “devil” for announcing the separation, saying: “I’ve become the devil now because I’m speaking out about the divorce she caused.”
In another clip, 2Baba was seen spending quality time with his daughter Isabella, who had been accused of taking sides in the divorce.

Women been using the weaker vessel thing to play victims for God knows how long. Men are humans too, their mental health also matters. I have brothers I cherish, I can’t imagine them going through what I see some men go through in the hands of their wives. It’s better to divorce and be alive to coparent .
