"If need be, Mohbad’s body will be exhumed from burial ground"– Police speaks on conducting autopsy (Video)

The Lagos State Police Command’s spokesperson, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, has offered detailed insights into their meticulous investigation of the enigmatic and sorrowful demise of the late singer, Mohbad.

Recall Intel Region reported that Mohbad died at the age of 27 on September 12th 2023 and was laid to rest on September 13th 2023,  amidst swirling controversies suggesting his death might have been a homicide.

Many Nigerians expressed apprehension about the family’s prompt arrangement of the burial and the marking of his gravesite. This raised concerns, particularly in light of the fact that the deceased was not of the Muslim faith, and all of this was done without first verifying the cause of his passing.

However, during a recent discussion with media personality Daddy Freeze and Singer K-solo, Police spokesperson Benjamin Hundeyin emphatically affirmed that even though the late singer has already been interred and his burial site sealed with cement, they are fully prepared to exhume his body if the need arises for an autopsy.

Hundeyin ardently encouraged any concerned Nigerian possessing vital information that could assist their investigation to immediately reach out to the Commissioner of Police, Lagos State Command. He reassured the public of their commitment to conducting a comprehensive and exhaustive inquiry, pledging to uphold justice.

The police spokesperson acknowledged the multitude of speculations circulating regarding Mohbad’s passing, spanning from ear infections to injections and even mystical practices. He stressed the importance of accurate information from citizens and assured absolute confidentiality.

Benjamin underscored the police force’s unyielding dedication to this case, driven by concerns about the reputation of the institution. They are resolute in ensuring that those responsible for Mohbad’s demise face the full weight of justice.
